Tracy,
The blogs are displayed for 10 seconds and zip by - is this a test? If so I failed!
Tracy, can you talk more about the “Twitter is harmful” stuff that’s coming out of these reports from your talk.
In particular, it doesn’t sound like you’ve actually measured whether Twitter produces the effect you’re assuming. It sounds like you think anything that’s “instant” in nature might do this, and so Twitter gets lumped into that while Facebook isn’t.
Is that correct? And if so, how do you define Twitter? While I read stuff on Twitter, I also read it similarly to how I might interact with material on Facebook (skimming updates) or reading a newspaper.
Maybe Twitter is ultimately harmful in the way you describe, but I guess I’d feel more comfortable with that conclusion if you’ve actually used it (do you?) or studied how people make use of it.
Hi Walter, not to worry, you can read the full post by scrolling down below or using the Calender or drop-down menu for Topics.
Thanks Danny. It’s based on findings from a pilot study, more to follow once the study is complete. Thanks for your interest.
Hi Dr Tracy Packiam Alloway,
I am a student(and also a teacher, mmm, teaching Chinese Language so my english is not good enough) in Hong Kong studying Information Technology in Education. I am interested about your research. Would you mind to tell me where can I read the full version?
Thanks a lot

I’m so glad for your rescearch in Working Memory.Until now, there has been no solution for many children. Finally someone has come up with a strategy to bring out the best out of children in the classroom. Most of the children in my school are doing Jungle Memory and after their first programme, they have shown an improvement in their studies.
Hi Tracy,
I think your research on Facebook and Twitter is very important. That said, I’m not sure it’s warranted to provide assertions about Facebook and Twitter to news sources until you’ve completed a full study that is published in a peer-reviewed journal.
In any case, I’ll be very interested to read the study when it is published.
Thanks,
Ben
