WORKING MEMORY TRAINING

Brain training is an exciting area but not all programs deliver the same results. In recent clinical trials, students using a working memory training program (JungleMemory) had improved IQ, working memory and grades. Students went from a C to B, or a B to an A in just 8 weeks in a published study comparing students who received Individualized Educational Programs (targeted learning support) at school. MORE

WORKING MEMORY TESTS

The Automated Working Memory Assessment (AWMA) is a computer-based assessment of working memory skills. The AWMA provides a practical and convenient way for educators to screen students for significant working memory problems. It is suitable for use with those between 4 and 22 years. The Screener version allows you to test a student’s verbal and visual-spatial working memory in 7 minutes. As part of a government-funded project, over 4000 children in the UK have been screened for working memory impairments. The AWMA has been translated into over 15 languages. The Working Memory Rating Scale (WMRS) is a behavioral rating scale developed for educators to easily identify children with working memory deficits. The WMRS is suitable for ages 5 to 11 and has been co-normed with the AWMA to provide a reliable tool for routine screening of memory difficulties. MORE ON THE WMRS
